Video Games Celebrating The LGBTQIA+ Community

Following Pride Month 2023, Tyler and I felt inspired to write a TC feature about some great LGBTQIA+ representation in video games. We put our heads together and came up with the following games and characters. The list is done in no particular order so please don't be offended. We did focus on characters written as queer rather than chosen in character creation or player choices. Narrowing down the many games with LGBTQIA+ romantic options wasn't easy. Especially with game series from The Sims to Saints Row, RPGs like Fallout and Mass Effect and more. Being given the choice during gameplay has come leaps and bounds in video game history. Of the many examples of LGBTQIA+ characters, hopefully, the ones you expect are here. It was difficult to narrow it down but I hope you agree with th...

Doom Guy - John Romero If life wasn't already so crazy busy with running his studio Romero Games, working on the sequel to Sigil - Sigil 2, while also working on the recently announced, highly anticipated, brand new FPS game,  then taking on a load of writing an autobiography and all of what that entails is certainly no easy task. I had the great pleasure to sit down with John recently to chat about his upcoming book, his early days making games, his passion for gaming and life...

Strategic Moves – Summer Game Fest 2023

What was traditionally known as "E3 Season" is upon us. Summer Game Fest Opening Night beams to our screens on Thursday June 8th and gamers around the world are excited to see what juicy announcements are shown during the showcase. Having been quiet for 2 years, PlayStation precluded this event with their own showcase at the end of May. While I personally thought it was a fairly strong showing, many online bemoaned its lack of big reveals as the show failed to live up to the over-hyped expectations being bandied around the internet. All eyes are now on Microsoft as they host their Xbox Games Showcase on Sunday June 11th. There is a lot of discontent among Xbox players who feel they have been let down and left with handfuls of false promises. Many believe this is make or break for the...

How to Deal with post Diablo 4 Beta Withdrawals

My Name is Stu, and it feels like a long while since the 26th of March; the last time I played Diablo 4. Like Many others, we all appear to be having withdrawal from playing Diablo 4. Even Blizzard themselves have said it was the most successful beta of the franchise's history, with a massive 61.5 hours combined over the 2 beta weekends. So while I have been finding a cure to that dungeon itch, I have been looking into other gaming titles that could, at least, pass the time until Diablo 4 is out on the 6th of June. How to Cure the Diablo 4 Withdrawals The first thing anyone does, is Google some suggestions.  So I went into a deep dive on where to start looking to find that cure. The most obvious answers here, are Diablo II: Resurrected and Diablo 3. However, there were 2 ...
