BAFTA YGD (Young Game Designer) award-winning Fractured Minds launched today. Fractured Minds is a first-person puzzle adventure game published by Wired Productions. Designed by Emily Mitchell, who at the age of 17 found comfort through games development and created an extremely personal title.

Inspired by Emily’s personal journey through severe anxiety Fractured Mind players will embark on a deeply personal and emotional journey. You will explore atmospheric environments and chapters, each one relating to the challenges people face on a daily basis. Emily’s work is truly inspirational.

“I created Fractured Minds to help those who suffer from anxiety and other mental health issues feel they’re not alone,” said Emily Mitchell.“The effects of illness can be invisible from the outside, yet debilitating to those affected, so it’s important to continue raising awareness and offering support. I am grateful for the support I’ve received and want to help others however I can.”

Fracture Minds is available from today across all platforms at £1.79 / €1.99 / $1.99. 80% of the proceeds go Ms. Mitchell and Safe In Our World. Safe In Our World is a new games industry charity dedicated to raising and supporting mental health awareness. So, head over to your platform of choice and check it out.

Congratulations Emily on winning the BAFTA YGD Award. It really is amazing to see a young game designer create something so personal and support charities off the back of it.
