Song Of Horror Review

The horror genre is a bit of a strange subject for me. I love horror in all media; movies (especially foreign), games, books, and so on. But, it's rare that something comes along that gets under my skin. I desperately want to feel fear as I play, yet few games have been able to satisfy my morbid hunger and my gluttony for gore. This is thanks in part to my wholely responsible father exposing me to movies like Aliens, Poltergeist, and Children of the Corn at the age of six. I can recall only one game that made me turn it off after every checkpoint because of the sheer anxiety it bestowed upon me. That game was Outlast. A game that can be done in one sitting, took me about 3 years to finish. But, I DID finish it. I still haven't played the DLC or the sequel...but I did finish the first ga...

Farm For Your Life Review

Hammer Labs and Secret Item Games have brought their title Farm For Your Life to PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch. The team at Secret Item Games were kind enough to send me a code to play on the PlayStation 5. Farm For Your Life combines a lot of different aspects, farming, the zombies, and cooking. Old McDonald Can Keep This Farm Let us get this out of the way, I am not a huge fan of farming games. However, I chose to put all of that aside and see how the game juggled different elements. I do however like zombies which is good because this is a farming simulator with a difference. The winds blow in and decimate your village unleashing an apocalypse of the undead and the few survivors that remain. Gameplay You are welcomed with a character creation where you can customise y...

Railroad Ink Challenge Review

Developed and published by Horrible Guild, Railroad Ink Challenge started off as Kickstarter. However, it wasn't for the video game, it was for the original board game version. The campaign was ridiculously successful and the board game became a reality. Due to its popularity, we are now blessed with a digital version of that exact game. A stunningly designed simplistic puzzler! I haven't dabbled in a puzzle game like Railroad Ink Challenge in quite some times so I am extremely excited to see how I get on with it. Since moving over to PC I have played nothing but multiplayer titles, keep reading to find out how I get on. Gameplay In short, the main game within Railroad Ink Challenge is to build railways and highways to connect the highest number of entrances and exits. Sounds easy? How...

Open Country Review

Welcome to my PlayStation review of Open Country. Open Country is a survival adventure game brought to us by developers Fun Labs (Unturned, Stranded Deep) and publishers 505 Games (Death Stranding, Control). You play as an outdoorsman who is trying his best to learn and survive in the wilderness. This game is rated as mostly negative on Steam, at the time of writing. Open Country - Survive & Thrive So what will I think of Open Country? Usually, I am a fan of these types of games, so keep reading to find out more. As always, if you enjoy this review you can check out my previous one here where I played Necromunda: Hired Gun on the Xbox Series S. Gameplay We start off our adventure on the character creation screen. This is where we can choose various options for our character such as...

Orbital Bullet Latest Free Update Now Available

The 360° rogue-lite, Orbital Bullet, has received a free huge content update, named Fresh Meat. Developers SmokeStab Studio has been working hard on this update which brings a lot of new content to the game. We get a new biome to explore, different enemies to kill, and an assortment of new weapons and abilities to end their time in those biomes with. The new Fresh Meat biome would make the bloodiest of splatter movies look dull, with it being "The ultimate fusion of slaughterhouse and a mad science lab". Key features of the update are as follows: Bloody Biome - Located on the planet Karth, this new location is where Dread Corps monsters have their barbaric manufacturing processes finalised. Revolting New Enemies - This blood-caked factory is definitely not making car parts...
