Marvel’s Avengers – A Compelling Assembly

As somewhat of an MCU novice, I was excited to have the opportunity to review Marvel's Avengers, the superhero-packed action role-playing brawler developed by Crystal Dynamics and published by Square Enix. I say novice, but what I really mean is a total newcomer. Having only recently started to work my way through the Marvel movies (I've just finished Captain America: The Winter Soldier), I can confidently say I approached this game with an almost entirely blank slate and zero expectations. Whether or not that's a good thing depends on your position as a Marvel stan I guess, but if this game has shown me anything, it's that you don't have to exist in the world of the superhero to actually become one. Prior knowledge of this universe is helpful to some, but certainly not a prerequisite w...

Tennis World Tour 2 – Grand Slam Or Double Fault?

Tennis and video games haven't had the greatest relationship over the years.  In fact, the only good ones seem to have 'Mario' or 'Virtua' in the title.  The last tennis game I played was Virtual Open Tennis 24 years ago on the Sega Saturn.  It wasn't great.  Tennis World Tour 2 is the follow-up to the tragic Tennis World Tour released in 2018.  Tennis World Tour 2 will release on PC, PS4, Xbox One on 24th September, and on Switch at a later date.  Developed by Big Ant Studios who bring experience to the court having worked on the AO Tennis series.  Once again, published by Nacon, will they serve up an ace or will it be a double fault? Gameplay With a new developer at the helm, this brings a new game engine as well.  This means improved animations, more of them and an overall better ...

eFootball PES 2021 Season Update – And Breathe

Welcome to another football game from Konami, right off the bat we know that this version of PES is purely an update from the 2020 version of the game, just with updated player data and player rosters. Now while people will be screaming saying that it's just an update of the previous years game blah blah blah. Isn't that what people have been asking for though? Rather than a full-price new game each year, give us an update to the previous year and roll on a 2 yearly cycle for new games. Konami has done just that, granted the next generation of consoles and PC hardware being released may have made them make this decision and concentrate on dropping the mother of all football game in 2021 on the new systems, only time will tell I guess. For now, let's concentrate on what you can expect when ...

Necromunda: Underhive Wars – Necromundane

There have been many games released set in the Warhammer 40k universe. There have been some particularly outstanding titles, but not all of them were winners. From RTS to shooters, and just about everything in between, Warhammer 40K has a huge library of games. Most recently released was Necromunda: Underhive Wars. Developed by Rogue Factor, and published by Focus Home Interactive for Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. For this review, I'll be taking a look at the Playstation 4 version of the game. So let's roll up our sleeves and take a look. Deep below the nightmarish, polluted hive cities of Necromunda, in the twisted, vertiginous, dark tunnels of the Underhive, rival gangs fight to the bitter end for personal power, wealth, survival and the honour of their Houses. Only the stron...

GameSir F4 Falcon – The Must Have Accessory For Your Mobile FPS Arsenal

The F4 Falcon mobile controller instantly impressed. With it’s light-weight and foldable design, limited moving parts, clickable buttons, and cushioning pads to house your precious device, you can tell it’s been built with the user in mind and for serious hours of gaming involved. GameSir has created a masterpiece that will surely impress both casual and avid Mobile gamers. Design The F4 Falcon has been designed from the ground up to promote all aspects of the mobile accessory with a limited compromise for the end-user. Some key standout elements that came to my mind throughout my playtime with it:  There are minimal moving parts: there are no pads to replicate a thumb press, instead, it’s initiated directly from the trigger press which reduces the time to react drastically - during...

Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 & 2 – Grind Straight Into The Action In This Thrilling Remaster!

Before Activision had Call of Duty as their yearly release, Tony Hawk Pro Skater was their pride & joy. Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 + 2 is the latest remaster on the market, Activision & Vicarious Visions have come together to produce this masterpiece. These games were originally released in 1999 & 2000, the series has gone on from there though with many more games added to their list. The latest Tony Hawk game before this was a disaster so much improvement was needed. The game is available now on PC, PlayStation & Xbox. Gameplay If any of you ever played the originals of these games you know it was a time sinker. Whether it be grinding all the levels or creating your own park. The gameplay is a serious improvement on the last Tony Hawk Pro Skater, with the game...
