Rage 2 PC Review – Welcome To The Wasteland

It's been eight years since the original Rage came out, and honestly until Rage 2 got announced I never thought there would be a follow-up. The original Rage was a fun game, albeit a bit short and linear. My interest was piqued, especially when I saw that Avalanche Studios was also attached to the project. They've had their fair share of experience making a fun post-apocalyptic open world with Mad Max (A game I thoroughly enjoyed). Co-developed by Avalanche Studios and id Software, and published by Bethesda, Rage 2 has high promise to be a good time. Let's jump in and find out how it is! Gameplay Stepping into the post-apocalyptic playground of Rage 2, you're immediately greeted by deranged half-mutant half-tech creations trying to kill you. They call themselves The Authority. Armed ...

Roccat Kova Aimo Gaming Mouse Review – Ambidextrous Gamer’s Dream

It appears that the designers over at Roccat have been doing some innovating with one of their latest gaming mice.  As any left-handed folk will know, if you walk into a shop to check out mice, they are predominantly for right-handed people due to the curved design and placement of buttons however Roccat have broken the mould and come up with one that can be used by both left and right-handed gamers alike.  How have they achieved this I hear you ask?  Well, it is all thanks to the mirroring of the handy buttons down each side of the mouse as well as making the mouse body symmetrical.  Behold the Roccat Kova Aimo. Being a Roccat gaming mouse, you have access to the amazing Swarm software that lets you customise all 12 physical buttons as well as extra functions thanks to the Easyshif...

Razer Kraken TE Headset Review – Music To Your Ears

Having had the opportunity to try out a number of different headsets over the past 2 years, I jumped at the opportunity to get my hands on the new and updated Razer Kraken Tournament Edition headset. Receiving the box was almost like a birthday gift from an old friend, with its standard packaging including its "Welcome to Razer" letter making you feel right at home. Then came the first glimpse into the beauty of the Razer Kraken headset. With its bright green colour, it does come in other colours including the new Quartz range, it was a joy to look at. Being a fan of bright colours, this instantly became my favourite headset to use day to day. Being bright green is all fun and everything, but you came here to read about what the headset can do...right? Features So having a l...

A Plague Tale: Innocence PC Review – The Woods Strike Back!

Back in April, I had an opportunity to preview A Plague Tale and I was, even more, luckier to have an opportunity to review the full game. When I played the preview, it was a cut-down, 3 part story. A Sampler of sorts which gave me enough to see what was going to give me in the full release but this weekend I had a good few hours to see what has been updated and to carry on with the story. If you didn't see the preview, A Plague Tale: Innocence is developed by Asobo Studio and published by Focus Home Interactive and is available right now on PC (Steam), Xbox One and PlayStation 4. So let's return once more to the plague-ridden kingdom of France in 1309 and see where Amicia De Rune will take us. Hopefully not in the woods again... Gameplay I managed to play a chunk of the game wh...

Down to Hell PC Preview – Hack and slash and die

I haven't had much experience with 2d hack and slash games, so when I was presented with Down To Hell by Polish developers Red Dev Studio S.A. I figured I'd take a shot. It's very early in its development stage, so it's bound to be a bit janky, Let's find out! Gameplay In Down to Hell, you play as a mysterious lone swordsman, whom after being saved by a girl becomes indebted to her. The girl has become kidnapped by demonic forces, and it's up to you to save her. The gameplay in Down to Hell is very straight forward. The entire game consists of slaying demons that spawn in waves between sections of 2D platforming. There are a few bosses present in the current build. However, it feels like you have to grind out a lot of enemies for the experience to get strong enough to stand a decent c...

Bow to Blood PS4 Review – A Politically Focused Battle Royale

Battle Royale is the phrase that is on most gamer's lips these days. Last year we got games like Fortnite, Player Unknown's Battlegrounds, and more recently Apex Legends, absolutely dominating gaming conversation, yet all of them play the same way with minor tweaks to each game's specific mechanics to set themselves apart. None of them is trying to innovate with each of them pinching ideas from the other. Bow to Blood by developer Tribetoy however, takes the genre and gives it a more Hunger Games feel, having you pitted against only seven other contestants in an almost politically focused battle of attrition. Gameplay You play as The Freelancer, a new contestant to the tournament and you'll need to make it to the top in order to survive. Kind of like a morbid TV show, Bow to Blood has yo...
