Call Of Duty Cold War Review – A Campaign Glance

For this Call of Duty Cold War review we join our resident expert,  on Call of Duty Campaigns to throw his opinions out into the Duty-sphere! JW do your thing! Time Heals There have been many great reunions over time... Fleetwood Mac, The Goonies The office and If you had told me 2 years ago I would be writing a piece for Thumb Culture they would’ve probably replied with a more chance of hell freezing over comment but time is a great healer and thanks to them, here I am (but more on that maybe another time). If you had also told me 2 years ago I’d be absolutely loving a Call of duty campaign again the reaction would’ve been the same. How pleasing it is to be wrong on both occasions and as I don’t want to ruin the future for you, let’s go spoiler free. Call of Duty Cold War was a massi...

Dirt 5 – Just Buy It Now!

Codemasters return to the mud, rain and snow in Dirt 5! However, don't be expecting a standard rally game. Dirt 5 shows us just how good and improved a game can get from the previous iteration. Reviewing this on the current PS4 Pro, but rest assured due to Codemasters allowing a free upgrade to the next generation of consoles, I will definitely be revisiting this to bring my next-gen thoughts on the game. Oh have I mentioned that Dirt 5 is awesome and you should go and buy it right now....no? Well, you really should! Gameplay So Dirt 5 returns to the more traditional style 0f Dirt gameplay, racing against other people on the track all at once, yes there are a couple of modes where it's just you on your own, but the majority of the time you will be trading paint with other AI controlle...

FIFA 21 – Well..Kind Of

Another year and another FIFA review over on Thumb Culture, this time we are looking at FIFA 21...obviously. So what does this years iteration bring to the game that meant the previous years just felt empty and stale? Well in all honesty not a lot. Jeez this is going to be a hard review to write. Gameplay FIFA 21 returns with the standard kind of thing you would expect from a football video game, updated team line ups, slightly improved graphics, a couple of new additions to old standing modes. Lets touch on them briefly. Pro Clubs (the game mode I tend to play most) has been given a small overhaul, you can now create tactics for the different defensive and attacking options. This is great if it wasn't for the sometimes god awful AI team mates that you play along side. The game...

eFootball PES 2021 Season Update – And Breathe

Welcome to another football game from Konami, right off the bat we know that this version of PES is purely an update from the 2020 version of the game, just with updated player data and player rosters. Now while people will be screaming saying that it's just an update of the previous years game blah blah blah. Isn't that what people have been asking for though? Rather than a full-price new game each year, give us an update to the previous year and roll on a 2 yearly cycle for new games. Konami has done just that, granted the next generation of consoles and PC hardware being released may have made them make this decision and concentrate on dropping the mother of all football game in 2021 on the new systems, only time will tell I guess. For now, let's concentrate on what you can expect when ...

Project Cars 3 – Not So SIMple

Project Cars, a name synonymous with simulation racers in the past. However, times are a-changing and with Project Cars 3 we have a bit of a SHIFT in the focus that Slightly Mad Studios brought to the track. This is now, in my opinion, a tremendous arcade-style racing game. Read on to find out more! Gameplay So you picked up Project Cars 3 expecting it to be a pure simulation racer, expecting it to be suited to your steering wheel, expecting a lot! Now I can imagine that you might be disappointed as it is neither a sim racer anymore, nor is it suited to be used on your steering wheel. In my opinion that isn't a bad thing in the slightest, and let me tell you why. Project Cars 3, might be the most fun I have had racing around a track in a long time. There I said it! Whilst most ...
